From little acorns, Mighty Oaks grow.

Mighty Oaks is a holiday club for primary school aged children (5 – 10 years) but sometimes there may be younger children present from Birch Class which is English Bicknor’s Nursery Class.

If your child is new to starting Mighty Oaks you will need to complete a Registration Form prior to their first session. You can visit our Coalway or English Bicknor site to do this but they cannot attend until one is filled out.

A plan of the activity days is put on the website but we also do other activities on those days linked to the children’s interests such as a visit to Bicknor park, a walk, crafts, cooking etc,

Mighty Oaks is held at Greenwoods, English Bicknor, located on English Bicknor School site.

Full Day Sessions are from 8.00am - 5.00am

Extended Day Sessions are available on request via email or telephone (7.30am- 5.00pm or 8.00am- 5.30pm)

Breakfast, snacks and tea are provided.  However, your child will need a lunch box and water bottle.

What to bring?

Children are required to come equipped with a lunch box, water bottle and change of clothes. Depending on the plan for the day, your child may need a car seat for trip days, waterproofs/appropriate wet weather clothing for Forest School or walks and a bike/scooter.

When placing a booking please individually chose the days you would like, adding them to your basket. Where possible please can you make bookings under one order.

At present you can make bookings online, follow the steps for checking out and payment should be taken from the relevant bank used and not invoiced via our Famly app.

For all those making payments with Tax free childcare accounts or other voucher companies, please enter ‘TFC21’ at checkout (discount code) the same as the summer camp and invoices will be sent via our Famly app.

To apply sibling discount, select ‘Full day - Sibling Discount’ from the drop down menu. Please keep in mind you can only use the sibling discount on one child.  If you are booking siblings in please book one on ‘sibling discount’ and one on ‘full day’

Sibling discount only applies when:

• You have a child or children that currently attend the nursery

• You are booking two or more of your children into Mighty Oaks. However, sibling discount only applies to one of your children and you must book the others in at our normal full day rate.

You should receive a confirmation email for the booking and an order number, this should show account details that you can send your tax free childcare payment to.

Please double check your dates when booking your child in as refunds will only be given in exceptional circumstances.  Additionally, dates cannot be swapped as we only have a limited number of places available each day which can get booked up quickly once the booking goes on our website.

Our aim at Mighty Oaks is to have fun as it is the children’s holiday time but we do expect the children to respect each other, the adults, the resources and equipment.  We do not tolerate bad language or bullying and any incidents will be discussed with the parents at the end of the day.  We have an area in the room where the children can take time out and calm down if they need it.

Special Educational Needs:

If your child is on a MyPlan or has an EHCP in school, it is important you speak to us before booking to ensure we can accommodate their needs and can staff it accordingly as our ratios do not allow for one to one care.
