Meal Times
A family atmosphere is encouraged as everyone eats together, within one room. Children sit round tables together on chairs and in highchairs. They use spoons, knives and forks and are encouraged to feed themselves with staff always nearby to lend them a helping hand. Staff promote good table manners, also encouraging the children with Makaton signs for please and thank you which the children learn to understand and repeat.
The Pine Class children are encouraged to set the table themselves, with knifes, forks and spoons and staff are always on hand to help.
Healthy snacks will be provided for during morning and afternoon sessions, following different cultures. Fruit and fresh water is available throughout the day.
Hot meals will be provided for your child at lunchtime. We currently use the company Apetito.
