Pine Class

Pine class offers highly stimulating experiences in our day to day nursery life.

Our aim is to provide your child with the best stepping stone for school. We have fantastic links with local schools, enabling us to facilitate ‘stay and play’ sessions as well as forest school sessions.

Within Pine class we deliver rich learning opportunities both inside and outside. We cover all areas of learning that are highlighted in the Early Years Foundation Stage through free play and focused times.

Our tailored routine helps children to adapt to change throughout the day. Learning is made fun in Pine class. Meaningful focused times enable us to prompt physical education as well as literacy and maths skills such as phonics and numicon.

Our weekly forest school sessions are led by one of our forest school leaders who are highly experienced and are supported by our enthusiastic outdoor loving practitioners.

Pine class practitioners aim to develop positive relationships with the children. During the transition from Sycamore to Pine class we offer a staggered, smooth transition enabling the children to adapt to their new room with ease. Each child is allocated a key person based upon who the child attaches to most.
